Ontario invites 1,186 tech workers to apply for provincial nomination

On 16th  February 2021, Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted its first draw of the year targeting applicants under the Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream with work experience in one of the six targeted tech occupations.

Draw Summary:

Dates of Express Entry profiles considered: February 16, 2020 to February 16, 2021
CRS score range: 453 and 467
Number of invitations: 1,186

Who received an invitation in the last draw:

To receive an invitation from this latest draw, an applicant must have an active Express Entry profile, have a CRS score of 453 or 467 and have at least 1 year of work experience in last 5 years in one of the below targeted occupations. 1,186 applicants received a notification of interest from OINP in this latest draw

List of targeted Occupations:

To be considered for this draw, applicants stated in their Express Entry profile at least one year of work experience in one of the below occupations:

  • Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)
  • Computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
  • Computer engineers (NOC 2147)
  • Web designers and developers (NOC 2175)
  • Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172)
  • Computer and information systems managers (NOC 0213)
