BC PNP Draw: Two Draws in One Day

In an unusual move on the 16th February 2021, the province held two draws, issuing a total of 494 invitations.

First draw summary:

The larger of the two draws saw 459 invitations go to applicants across five of BC’s Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC immigration streams. The Minimum cut off for each of these streams were:

Express Entry BC categories (EEBC) minimum score:

  • Skilled Worker: 104
  • International Graduate: 94

BC Skills Immigration categories minimum score: 

  • Skilled Worker: 98
  • International Graduate: 94
  • Entry Level and Semi- Skilled- 85

This draw also makes the first draw following the lift of the temporary suspensions on 31 occupations in the tourism, hospitality and retail-related industry,  introduced in March 2020 in response to COVID 19’s impact on BC businesses.

Second draw summary:

Responding to current labour market needs, the second BC draw for the 16th February, 2021 targeted workers in one of two hospitality occupations, Retail and wholesale trade managers and Restaurant and food service manager. This draw issued only 35 invitations to applicants with the following minimum cut offs:

Express Entry BC categories (EEBC) minimum score:

  • Skilled Worker: 120
  • International Graduate: 120

BC Skills Immigration categories minimum score: 

  • Skilled Worker:120
  • International Graduate: 120
