PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAMS

Manitoba Issues 141 Invitations in Recent Draw

Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held a draw on June 17th, 2021, issuing 141 invitations to candidates through three of the province’s immigration streams.

Breakdown of MPNP draw details:

Skilled Worker in Manitoba

Minimum score: 430
Number of Invitations Issued:  95

International Education

Minimum score: N/A
Number of Invitations Issued:  22

Skilled Workers Overseas

Minimum score: 703
Number of Invitations Issued:  24

Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas candidates invited in this draw had previously received an invitation under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative. Upon receiving an invitation under one of these initiatives, an additional 500 point is added to one’s Expression of Interest score on Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) points grid.

How can I be eligible to receive an invitation in one of Manitoba’s draws?

To be eligible to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the MPNP, candidates must first meet the eligibility requirements for one of the province’s immigration streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, or the International Education stream.

After a profile is submitted, it is ranked by MPNP’s points system and given a score based on language, age, work experience, education, and adaptability factors. Candidates can also have points deducted in the “risk assessment” factor for any strong ties to another province.
