BC PNP Tech Pilot Extended To June 2021

BC Tech Pilot

The BC PNP Tech Pilot program has been extended to June 2021 and is offering fast-tracked processing times of two to three months for candidates in the tech industry. The pilot project has already seen over 4200 applications processed since its launch in May 2017.

Eligibility For BC PNP Tech Pilot:

Applicants with stronger credentials and language proficiency will be ranked higher and therefore have a greater chance to receive an invitation to apply but the basic eligibility criteria are:

  1. A job offer from a BC employer in one of the 29 eligible occupations listed below
  2. An active profile with BC PNP
  3. Language scores demonstrating at least a CLB score of 4 or higher

Features:

  • Does not require a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)
  • BC PNP will provide work permit support letters to obtain a new work permit or renew an existing permit to ensure continuous status throughout the processing of the application
  • Client support through phone and email
  • Weekly draws 
  • Priority processing with most applications approved in two to three months 

Provincial nominee programs remain a great way to immigrate to Canada but they tend to focus on applicants with experience or connections to the province. For candidates hoping to immigrate to Canada who do not yet have a connection to the country, the Federal Express Entry program remains a great option to consider.
