British Columbia’s Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) invites 450 applicants to apply in the largest BC PNP draw of 2020 to-date. Similar to previous BC PNP draws that have occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, this draw excluded applicants in 31 occupations related to tourism.
The BC PNP draw took place on September 29 and invited candidates under the two main categories of their PNP program, the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) and their Skills Immigration (SI) category.

Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS)
SIRS or (Skills Immigration Registration System) is a points-based system, similar to the Comprehensive Ranking System in Express Entry. It has a maximum point score of 200 and when applicants are submitted to BC’s PNP, they are ranked against others in the candidate pool. SIRS allows BC to select the best workers to meet labour market needs of the province.
Applicants with a highly skilled job offer with a competitive salary will rank the highest, but work experience, level of education, and your language proficiency also play a role.
