PEI Issues 211 Invitations in First PNP Draw of 2021

In the first draw of 2021, the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program extended a total of 211 invitations to candidates through the Labour, Express Entry, and Business Work Permit Entrepreneur streams.

  • PEI Labour and Express Entry Invitations: 196

Business Work Permit Entrepreneur Stream

To be eligible for nomination through the Work Permit stream you must:

  • Have a minimum net worth of $600,000 
  • Have completed secondary education
  • Be within 21-59 years of age at the time of application
  • Have transferable management skills and past employment or business ownership experience;
  • Meet minimum language requirements, equivalent to a CLB/NCLC 4; and
  • Demonstrate intention to reside in PEI and provide day-to-day management of your PEI-based company

PEI Express Entry Stream

The PEI Express Entry stream manages the intake of several programs, including ones for applicants outside of PEI but it is primarily focused on candidates currently residing in the province.  

In order to be eligible for this program, an applicant must first have an Express Entry profile with Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada. After completion of the IRCC Express Entry profile, an applicant must then create a separate application to PEI’s Express Entry system.
