Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program (OINP) Invites 726 Candidates

On Nov. 4, Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program (OINP) sent invitations to 210 bilingual Francophones and 516 skilled-trades workers. 

The latest OINP draw is only available to candidates with profiles in the federal Express Entry pool. Applicants with CRS scores as low as 436 were eligible, which is considerably lower than today’s Express Entry draw where a CRS score of 478 was the cutoff.

OINP sends Notifications of Interest as invitations to apply to their provincial nominee program. If successfully approved, a candidate will receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System points towards their federal Express Entry profile. 

These additional points all but guarantee you will receive an invitation through Express Entry to submit a full application for Canadian permanent residence

OINP’s French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream

Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream

OINP’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream is part of a larger effort to recruit more French speakers to regions of Canada outside of Quebec

To be eligible, you must be able to a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher for French proficiency. You must also be able to achieve a CLB level 6 or higher in English.

Candidates need a valid federal Express Entry profile and must submit a complete application to OINP in 45 calendar days from the date of the application. A $1500 fee is required. 

Ontario’s Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream

In order to be eligible for Ontario’s Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream you must have at least one year of work experience in Ontario in a skilled trade. The eligible occupations for the program are NOCs that start with 633 or 72, 73, or 82.

Candidates also need to have a valid federal Express Entry profile and submit a complete application in 45 days from the date of the invitation. The fee to submit is $1500.
