EXPRESS ENTRY DRAW #170 | CRS CUT-OFF SCORE DROPS AGAIN

In the final Express Entry draw of the year, Canada issued 5,000 invitations to Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence. Today’s 170th Express Entry draw included candidates across all economic immigration streams managed by the Express Entry system, including Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades (FST), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).  The minimum CRS cut-off score for this draw was 468, dropping one point from the last draw.

Draw Number: 170
Draw Date: December 23, 2020
Number of Invitations Issued: 5,000
Minimum CRS: 468
Program Specified: None
Tie-breaking rule: June 4, 2020

107,350 ITAs Issued in 2020

In this latest draw, the Canadian federal government has issued another 5,000 invitations to eligible Express Entry candidates. The CRS cut-off score for this draw was 468.

This year has been a record-breaking one for Canada’s Express Entry system. A total of 107,350 invitations were issued, the highest number of ITAs issued through EE in one year. Since September, the number of ITAs issued in Express Entry draws has been increasing, while the CRS cut-off score has dropped to the lowest we’ve seen all year! This is an excellent sign for the future of Canada’s Express Entry system, and immigration in general.

In spite of the obstacles that this year presented, Canadian immigration triumphed and is poised to welcome more newcomers than ever over the next few years.
