Manitoba Invites 206 Candidates To Apply For Canadian Immigration

In the second draw of October, Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) sent out 206 invitations to candidates.

Draw #101 took place on October 22 and sent out invitations through three streams of the MPNP system:

  1. Skilled Workers In Manitoba
  2. International Education Stream
  3. Skilled Workers Overseas

While there may be indications of a federal immigration slowdown, Manitoba and many other provinces have been conducting regular provincial nominee draws offering a bright spot to would-be applicants.

Of the 206 LLAs, 22 were sent to candidates with a valid Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code.

About MPNP

Manitoba had the first PNP and in many ways, pioneered this category of Canadian immigration. Although MPNP doesn’t have the same volume of invitations to send out like Ontario or British Columbia, MPNP offers applicants with connections to the province a route to permanent status.

Manitoba uses the term Letters of Advice to Apply or (LAAs) when inviting candidates to their program. LAAs are invitations for candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through MPNP. Following successful completion of the MPNP application, candidates can use that nomination to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
